Farm Manager and Educator
Kana Azhari was born and raised in the Bay Area. As a youth she enjoyed the art of educating others and often spent her weekends and summers playing school. As an educator of youth and adults for over 20 years she offers a unique learning experience; blending lesson plans with drama, improvisation, collective narrative and art. As a lover of people, plants and life, Ms. Azhari loves the farm life. A life where people (often from the inner city) have the opportunity to slow down and learn from, speak to, value, heal with, and interact with nature.
Kana hold a Bachelor Degree in Community Studies from University of California at Santa Cruz as well as certifications in Ecological Horticulture from the Center For Agroecology and Sustainable Food System (Santa Cruz, CA) and Permaculture Design from Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (Occidental, CA). Ms. Azhari is also a trained community organizer and does political human rights and food justice/ land justice work nationally and throughout the Bay Area. Kana is a founding member of The Healing Kitchen Cooperative an inter-generational worker owned business that supports the healing and wellness of the community via vegan catering services, cooking classes, consultation and healing arts.
