Camp ANV serves low-income Oakland children ages 5-13. Since 2012, our eight-week Summer Camp, and our Fall, Winter, and Spring school holiday camps provide a safe space for local youth to learn the business of sustainable agriculture, promote fitness, teach students healthy cooking and nutrition, offer students the opportunity to complete arts, science, and reading projects, and develop financial literacy by depositing earnings from the harvest into bank accounts that can only be used by students for educational purposes.
Field Trips and Farm Visits
Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project offers outdoor educational programs to pre-K through 12th grade students, college observation activity students, and adults that includes a tour of the farm, a discovery activity, food sampling, and an age-appropriate work project. The Coordinator will tailor the visit according to each group’s goals, interests, and time frame.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project delivers a box of seasonal vegetables and fruits to the East Bay only once a week at $25/week including home delivery.
