Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project’s (ANV) mission is to elevate life for youth and their families in Oakland and beyond by challenging oppressive dynamics and environments through urban farming and access to the natural environment.
At Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project (ANV), our mission is to cultivate a Future Paradise—right here, right now—for youth and families in Oakland and beyond. Through urban farming, environmental education, economic empowerment, and cultural celebration, we provide pathways for young people to lead lives full of dignity, purpose, and joy.
Founded and led primarily by women and People of Color, ANV transforms vacant lots into vibrant farms, green deserts into spaces of abundance, and systemic challenges into opportunities for collective resilience. We invite youth to step into their power, reimagine their futures, and reconnect to the land—because growing food and cultivating leaders is not controversial.
