Basia began her journey into farming through her passion for culinary art, food justice, and plant medicine. She is originally from Opelousas, La, and transitioned to the bay to learn more about land stewardship and agro-ecology. She found Acta Non Verba looking to connect more with the Bay Area community and youth while sharing and learning more about land works and wisdom. She has love for ancestral folk traditions including traditional African and indigenous centered herbalism and spirituality. She enjoys most, learning about her afro-Creole heritage as well as other African diasporic folk traditions in relationship to agro-ecology.
