Silver was born and raised in Los Angeles and has been living in the Bay Area for the last 7 years. During covid they faced core community issues, where access to clean water and food was dramatically impacting the unhoused community in Oakland. They dedicated their time in the pandemic to mutual aid, food recovery, and re-distribution of food & wealth. Silver did a lot of volunteering at the Omni Commons and was tipped the opportunity to work with ANV from Roya, who was leaving to continue their higher education. With little background in the field of admin and CSA, ANV gave Silver an opportunity to connect and grow. Since then they have felt empowered to share resources and knowledge by connecting with farmers and food deserts. Silver is grateful to continue to flourish and share the opportunity of abundance with their community through food!
