Community Field Trip – Muir Woods
November 19, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm PSTFREE
Grab your spot! Join ANV for a fun day out at Muir Woods National Monument! Only an hour from Oakland, you and your family will be treated to a ranger-led tour of the world-renowned ancient redwood forest! Come meet 1,000 year old trees shooting 250 feet into the sky and take home a family portrait from a professional photographer! Children and families can embark on a scavenger hunt to earn their Junior Ranger Badge, too!
Logistics: At 9:00 am the bus departs ANV. Upon arrival, family portraits will be taken by a professional photographer. Then Rangers will greet and lead half the group on a popular tour through the redwoods for 30-45 min (trail is partially paved and flat) while the other half takes lunch, then groups switch. The bus arrives back at ANV at 3:00 pm where families will receive their freshly printed photos!
Transportation, snacks, hot drinks, lunch and professional photos provided!
BONUS FOR KIDS: All 4th graders and their families receive a FREE National Parks Pass for entry into hundreds of park lands for a WHOLE YEAR thanks to President Obama’s Every Kid in a Park initiative!
RSVP by Monday Nov. 14th to [email protected] or call 510.878.7235 (tell us you name, # of adults and children in party, any food restrictions, and your contact info).
What to Bring: Please wear comfortable closed-toe walking shoes, warm clothing (bring layers!), a rain coat (just in case!). Hat/beanie, sunglasses, and a water bottle recommended.
