Week Three/October 23rd: Yoga and Mediation
Time: 1 hour
Intro: What is yoga and how can movement help us through stressful situations? Are you aware of your breathe? How are you breathing?
Main Activity:
Residents will be lead through guided opening meditation and yoga poses, where awareness around breathe and body motion will be the center focus of this 30 minute sequence.
Instructions:
**Create a safe and calm setting**
Set out materials and create layout of mats in circle
Centering meditation(5 min)
Dynamic movement(10min)
Cooling down(10min)
Closing reflection(5min)
Outro: Clean up
