Counselor Program

ANV’s Junior Counselors

ANV’s Junior Counselor (JC) program is designed to give high school students who have gone through our No Limit Leadership program job experience in youth development! We aim for JCs to build confidence in their leadership skills and feel empowered to impact other youth, their community, and the world. Whether or not they have attended camp previously as a camper, this program will allow them to experience the benefits of camp, take on more adult-like responsibilities, and learn to lead. Thus, they will be prepared to apply for Camp Counselor positions at Camp ANV or any other job opportunities that require leadership experience!

Junior Counselor positions are paid an Oakland living wage. During Camp ANV, each JC will be assigned to a group of campers and two adult counselors to work with daily.
